I love to read the songs and poetry throughout the book of Psalms. Some are songs of joy and others are songs of cries to God. Either way they are heartfelt times of worship and calling out to God. As I draw closer to God I realize I need to not only listen and read the psalms and hymns written by others. I should share my own stories of worship to God.

Reading devotionals opens up our mind to expand on scriptures we have heard before and gives us a deeper level of understanding. I invite you to read through the devotionals and allow God to reveal something new to you. I often see devotionals written by biblical scholars, pastors, authors, and worship leaders. I would not be bold enough to compare myself to any of the previously mentioned professionals. I am guy that has a heart for the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). I use the IT profession as a means of making a living. I am using this site to advance in my walk with God, and learn two new skills: creating and maintaining this site, and sharing the word of the Lord. God called me to start writing my own devotionals, so this is my first attempt to fulfilling my calling. I hope I am able to draw people closer to their God given destiny.

Heavenly Father our God in Heaven. Praise and honor to Your name. I want to always open my mouth and raise my hands to give You praise.
You are great1, mighty2, and loving3.
You are forgiving4, gracious5 and merciful6.
You sit on high7 but you look low on Your servants8.
You bring peace9 and clarity10.
You give wisdom11 and corrections12.
You are trustworthy13.
You love us when we haven't always loved You or ourselves14.
You are our teacher15.
You give us interpretation16.
You have healed us17 and You build our faith18.
You make ways when we think something is impossible19.
You walk with us in our daily journey20.
You created us in Your image21.
You pulled us out of darkness22.
You gave us a new birth when we accepted You as our Lord and Savior23.

You provided brothers and sisters and a whole family of believers to walk with us and to help us25.

Although I didn't ask the question
Yet God provided me with an answer
So, I never had to question
Why the door was opened
Another time I asked and found no answer
Was I seeking after the wrong question
Will He provide the answer?
Yes, when I ask the right questions
Wrong Question: Why me?
Right: How to I break free?
Wrong Question: When will it happen?
Right Question: How should I prepare?
Wrong Question: Where should I go?
Right Question: Where are You leading me?
No matter what becomes of my day
I find rest in Your peace
Even in the sleepless nights
I have to realize there is rest in Your peace
Through the ups and downs in life
I seek the rest that comes through Your peace
When decisions must be made
I pray the decision brings me rest through Your peace
Every moment of my life can be filled with the rest that comes with Your peace
In a subterranean vault
My life suddenly came to a halt
In the darkness while it was day
Your presence made a way
Although hope seemed distant
My prayers became insistent
The fear became my issue
No one around to provide a tissue
For problems that had an expiration
Which lead to my elevation
The moment I felt Your presence
With a sincere heart
God loved us from the start
Through our faithful zeal
By Jesus we make our appeal
We are faithfully devoted
And our prayers are noted
We could never repay
The glory of each day
That is reality
So share hospitality

Hospitality
Our Father sent His Son to earth to save a father.
